Lace

Does anyone remember this book? Lace was the first "adult book" I read. Recently something reminded me of it and I bought the thing from Amazon used for two cents or something ridiculous like that. I loved the book. Reading it again I still love it, not because it is such a great book but because it reminds me of when I thought it was great. After reading it I really wanted to see the mini series as well, so I searched EBay and found it.

Although I remember loving it, the miniseries blew. lol Phoebe Cates stared as Lily. Her answer to a French accent was talking like a 6 year old with bad diction and yelling a lot. Whenever she had a yelling scene I began to wonder if the camera cut away just before the actor she was yelling at wiped the spit off of his/her face. lol

Ah well, it was still money well spent. In fact I think I will pop Lace in as I fall asleep tonight.
