My daughter, Hannah, is a poor reader. I have lots of excuses for this, missed school, lazy mum, blah, blah, blah-did-dee-blah-blah. The bottom line remains the same no matter how I qualify it. My daughter, so bright, so talented, funny, beautiful, is struggling with reading.
This makes me so sad because I love reading so much. I just love it.... I read 1-3 books a week. I had been praying for my girl to find this love of reading, and she has found it. She loves Amelia Bedelia books. She read one for class and since then will read nothing else. We have had to do two book reports this year and both have been Amelia Bedelia books. She still struggles, but, I hope that love of reading will help her.

I *loved* Amelia Bedelia when I was a kid -- they're great books!
I'm glad to hear that she's enjoying reading now -- it's such a gift.
